Basket Retreat Reflection Days
Refresh your body, mind, and spirit as you create a unique reflection basket. Enjoy opportunities for private reflection, journaling, and a powerful creative experience by weaving your thoughts into a basket. No previous weaving experience is necessary.

The following themes are offered to commemorate the four seasons of the year:

Soul Growth: Being Planted [June 2]
Create a basket of growth. As the breath of spring urges a seed to rise up through the hard earth, so too can you experience the God within waiting to be awakened in you like the seed waiting to sprout.

Communication: You Are a Letter [August 18]
Create a basket-letter. A letter has a message that puts us in touch with the sender. Allow the qualities of Christ to shine forth like a message penned from the depth of your heart.

Letting Go: Being Vulnerable [October 20]
Create a basket secret. Find the strength and power within yourself that encourages you to let go. As trees give themselves over to the letting-go process, come and experience the secret of autumn.

Nesting: Stillness [December 1]
Create a basket nest. Nests await the treasure of life. Prepare the nest of your heart and listen to the center of your soul while making a dwelling for Christ.

Daily schedule:
9:30-10:00 Arrival / Fellowship / Cont. Breakfast
10:00-10:30 Theme Presentation
10:30-11:30 Personal Reflection / Journaling
11:30-12:30 Basket Weaving Experience Begins
12:30-1:15 Lunch
1:15-4:30 Basket Weaving Experience Continues
4:30-5:00 Prayer Gathering / Sharing of Baskets

Tuition is $85/Reflection Day and includes meals and materials. Payment in full is requested 30 days in advance to guarantee your space. Retreat Days are limited to 8-15 participants.

Personalized retreats can be scheduled on weekdays for other groups and can be held at locations outside of the Community Center. Contact Sr. Donna for prices, to determine availability, and select a theme.
