Sister Rosalyn Soller

I have been graced to share many decades and many wonderful ministries as I now reach “my golden years.” Pre-Vatican II is writ deeply in my soul and Post-Vatican II was like learning to breathe again and experience God on a different level. This has made for a long and exciting life!

One ministry stands out. Last week I attended our 60th SBA reunion for the class of '59. It was a teacher’s dream. I was overwhelmed at the expressions of love and appreciation the students expressed after 59 years. They do not forget. My though was that, next to parents, the influence of a teacher lasts forever.

Only a few months ago as I was leaving St. Teresa’s church a six-foot-tall former 7th grade student handed me a small medallion which said, “The best teachers in the world give us wings to fly.”

Blessed are those who teach and learn from their students. I pray for them daily.
