Sister Lucille Snyder

After experiencing the joy of the Sisters who taught me at St. Benedict Academy and having a chance to participate in the Divine Office and visit the chapel, I felt that God was calling me to Benedictine life.
I entered the Benedictine Community on the feast of the Blessed Mother, September 15, 1956.

I ministered in teaching elementary school in the Dioceses of Pittsburgh and Greensburg. Then I spent eight years doing home ministry, caring for my aging mother in Florida. When my mother became even more frail, I brought her to live in the monastery where I could give her even greater care.

I love my Community. One of the blessings I treasure most is the opportunity to pray the Liturgy of the Hours together with my Sisters.
