Sister Judith Nero

Originally from Canton, Ohio, I met the Benedictines through Sister Leona who taught me in 7th and 8th grade at Saint Benedict School there. My family’s daily prayer nurtured my spiritual life.

The parish priests were Benedictines who fostered a strong community bond. While I went to public high school, the appeal of the Benedictine way stayed with me.

In ministry my focus has been to listen and to lead people to renewed life through compassion, understanding, resources, and connections. I'm almost fanatic about re-using and recycling. I am blessed with strength and good health, and desire to use God's gifts to nurture a community of justice and peace.
