Sister Joann Hothersall

I was drawn to the Benedict Sisters of Pittsburgh by the witness of the Sisters to a strong life of prayer and community. In the fall of 2010, I made monastic profession and I now walk fully committed in the path of St. Benedict. It is a joy to share the common life, praying, working, studying the rule, and recreating with my Sisters. My favorite quote from the Rule of Benedict is, “Listen with the ear of your heart.” That is what I strive to do each day. Presently, I minister with children – my work is children. All is good.
