Sister Donna Wojtyna

I’m a sculptor, a basket maker and above all, I’m a Benedictine Sister of Pittsburgh. Being a Sister has been my deepest desire since second grade. After 50+ years, I am still glad I was able to follow my heart’s desire because it has been a wonderful journey.

In my early years in Community I taught grade school and loved it though I always wanted to pursue my artistic talents someday. God granted me that gift.

I have been a basket maker and sculptor since 1980. I now have a studio and classroom at the St. Athanasius Community Center in West View for classes and workshops for “kids” from 6 to 96!
