“How I found my vocation”

Believe it or not, I had never ever thought of a vocation to the religious life until I went into high school!! I had the Benedictine Sisters all through grade school but I never felt in any way I would ever want to be a “sister”!

My parents encouraged me to go to St. Benedict Academy where the same community of sisters taught.

It all started when I was a freshman in high school and my “vocation” never let up! After graduation I entered the convent and stayed for six months when I became very homesick to the point I had to go home. As soon as I got home I knew I had to come back. I was away for five months and re-entered and never looked back!!
