Meet the sisters [view all sisters]

Sister Bridget Reilly
I often ponder how I got where I am today. As a little child I always wanted to be a nun, but never really thought how that would happen. God works in strange ways. When I was in the seventh grade I was asked if I would like to accompany an eighth grader on a visit to the Aspirant class at Mount St. Mary Convent in Pittsburgh. My mother agreed and I went for the visit that led to the first step in attaining my dream of being a nun. I loved being at the convent and told my parents that I wanted to attend high school at St. Benedict Academy. My parents were fine with the idea, but my mother didn’t believe I would go because I was so shy and backward. However, I did go and have stayed and grown in the Lord’s service.
Religious life has stretched me to do things that I probably would not have had the opportunity to do had I stayed at home. God has called me and continues to call me daily to listen with the ear of my heart. Currently I minister as a director of guidance at Quigley Catholic High School in Baden, PA.
