Mercy Intellectual Disabilities Services

Sister Alice Rock (on left) is a Counselor for Mercy Intellectual Disabilities Services: Ross Adult Training Facilities at McKnight Plaza. She remarks: “I care for severely mentally challenged adults. I consider my employment, not a job, but a ministry. I feel very privileged to be entrusted with the care of God's most precious individuals for a 6 hour day for five days a week. I take my ministry very seriously and feel I am doing a service to wonderful people. Their needs are great and their parents make me feel much appreciated. No one could ask more in life.”

Sister Joann Hothersall also works at Mercy Intellectual Disabilities Services. She enjoys taking her clients on field trips, helping them with everyday needs and encouraging them to use and increase their independence and skills.
