The recipients of this award exemplify the mission of LaRoche College which is to educate leaders for the future and to promote peace with justice in a constantly changing global society. The Board of Directors of LaRoche College is bestowing this prestigious award on the Congregations of Women Religious of the Diocese of Pittsburgh for the Sisters’ tireless devotion to education, caring for the ill and the elderly, fostering children, helping the homeless and so many other good works. Sister Benita DeMatteis, O.S.B., Prioress of the Benedictine Sisters, will receive this honor on behalf of all her Sisters.
