Easter Seals Benedictine Adult Day Services, located on the Monastery's campus, has been privileged to once again have six students from the Occupational Therapy Department at Duquesne University partnering with their program. Sister Linda Larkman, Site Supervisor, reports that the master students returned on January 13 and will continue the Service Learning portion of their Clinical Reasoning Class under the direction of Professor Anne Marie Witchger Hansen, MS, OTR/L through April 7. The students developed and planned "Pasting Together the Memories," a Wednesday morning project that involves making scrap books for each of the clients. The project foscuses on providing clients with activities that foster creative skills and memory retrieval resulting in visual representations of their lives. "The response from clients has been tremendous," says Sister Linda, "and the experience has been especially rewarding for the students as well as for our volunteers and staff."
